Tomorrow I'm going out and buying a decent PC from someone who doesn't seem to realize that he's sitting on roughly a $1500 pc if he would just install a new ($100) graphics card. Which I'm going to do. Oh, the kicker? I'm giving him $150 for the PC. It's a custom Alienware. >.>

As to the whole stress comment I made, that relates more to the social pressures put onto people to have sex in the first place. Not one to say that people should have sex just because other are having sex, but I for one can attest that it's a very dejecting feeling knowing that everyone (and I do literally mean everyone) around you is playing flesh tag while you sit idly by, and the world turns on. Maybe I'm just getting old... but I'm not sure that there's actually that much "social pressure" put onto people to go out and have sex. And even if there was, you said it yourself that that's no excuse to go out and start having sex just because other people are having it. Also, I hate to say this... but if you're that downtrodden over the knowledge that other people are "getting some" on a regular basis and you aren't... well, you really ought to find yourself a good hobby to occupy yourself with until you meet that girl you want to start sharing your bed with. =/ I'm pretty much with you here, Kadri. Either you and I fall into the "old" category or it's a location thing. Though I have noticed that the amount of sleeping around/pregnant teenagers at my old high school has exponentially increased since I left. I'm glad, though, that I have an unhealthy amount of spite for society. So if I'm pressured by it/them(?) to do something then I'm pretty content with not doing it. ^^; |

I have a bias against the HOA too, because of some personal experiences, and stories my husband's told about some of the ludicrous laws the HOA has enacted because of things his family's done and even pets they kept. It sounds to me like there was some under the table bureaucracy going on in side the HOA in this case that cause some paperwork to get "lost", thus stopping the project. >.<

Very well put I think Kadri. I'm that person that has crazy high standards when it comes to sexuality and relationships (that's right, I adhere to the old Christian moral standards). But the way you put it is very mature sounding, and I can something I can accept. :3

What? ME3 got pushed back? How far?
Oh yeah, Skyrim. I'm not sure how to feel about that one. Oblivion was pretty lacking in the immersive aspect, so I'm hoping Skyrim will do that better, but I also worry that it's graphics will cause my poor lappy to explode. She's not the young girl she use to be. XP

Haha, yeah. I like the jokes Cosmo and Wanda throw around, being married I can kind of sympathize, though I more so with Cosmo than Wanda. XD
EDIT: Checked facebook and my art professor posted the best thing I've seen this month. "Laughter never killed anyone. It was the clown car that ran their ass over that killed them."

I got Civilization 5 today, it's pretty much the same as 4, but better looking. All in all, I like it.
Ooh, I like Civ 5. It's way dumbed down from version 4 though, which gets annoying....very annoying. But it's definitely much prettier (and much more of a memory hog). I bought Faery: Legends of Avalon and that game is short but totally amazing. The ability of free flight in movement and body augmentation is so amazing. Also been playing the first Infamous (yay for Playstations welcome back pack), it's fun but is starting to feel repetative....and Cole's fixation with clinging to the wrong wall is pissing me off. >.< |
