If you want good Action, I would suggest Berserk, or Baki the Grappler

Baccano! and Eve no Jikan are good for multiple reasons, though both are unusually short. I highly recommend the former.

No problem, its definitely one of my favorites. And the characters being named after mythical creatures is a nice touch.

Just finished watching Last Exile

This anime made me remember why I fell in love with anime, particularly the adventure/fantasy genre. It has it's kinks and some questionable plot development but when the points are hit this hard, its very easy to ignore the flaws. This is the first anime in a very very long time that I actually grew attached to the characters. Honestly I can't give you a solid reason as to why I grew attached to them and I dont think there really is one. Last Exile is just one of those stories that touch your heart like very few stories these days do. This is just my own opinion however. Your reaction might be and probably will be different.

I dont want to spoil the series so im not going to go into extreme detail but I guess one of the reasons I liked it was the fact that it had airships. In all seriousness I know real life airships were very impractical but you have to admit, they looked a hell of alot cooler than these sleek modern styled jets we have now. They just give you that Age of discovery feel, yet exploring the skies, not the ocean. I highly doubt im alone on this feeling.

I feel if I keep at this im never going to stop rambling on about it so I guess im going to stop here. If you always had a notion of exploring the unknown, having "true" freedom then you should really give Last Exile a look at. Also if you played Skies of Arcadia for the Dreamcast and Gamecube then theres a very good chance you will love this anime. They have a decent amount of similarities.

Thanks everyone for listening to my little rant ^-^ Happy Viewing!
