Hmm. For a first time go I would recommend just going with the latest version Ubuntu to start off. It's fairly straightforward and is the easiest to use if coming from a long history of Windows use, as the interface is very similar.

Yea I've noticed that. I remember it looking like four Vista desktops lol. But ok, I'm a try and give it a go sometime next week or so.
So anyone else? Mac or PC?

Im a pc no question. Macs are only good for music in my book. And theyre damn expensive

Yeah so do I, garage band is a great app, and PC dont reallly have a real equivalent to match it. But I just cant et down with the rest of the Mac OS. and that no right click on the mouse drives me crazy. I dont wann do control click!

lmaooo I know how you feel. I use Fruity Loops or use my keyboard. Then I use Pro Tools on the Mac at the studio

I'm a PC user as well. The new iMacs save space by not having a tower, and they look pretty slick, but I prefer the PC. They last a while, usually, and can fight through a lot, usually. It depends. My mom's desktop is like 7, and we've had to wipe the system so many times. My dad's laptop is 5, and we've never had to, so it all depends. And I just got a new PC. A nice shiny Toshiba. But I'd have to go PC.
