So, news came about earlier this week that Epic Games was releasing a free version of their Unreal 3 Graphics engine for the public massed to go and tinker around with: http://gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2009/11/05/free-version-of-unreal-engine-3-now-available.aspxAs an aspiring Game designer, this couldnt be more perfect. I heard about this. It's going to be awesome, but it will be hard make anything but just another FPS game with it. Something fun to with, at any rate. It's great to see some reasonable decisions being made in the industry, after all of this time nothing but entropy to take it's course.

Thats no necessarily true, about only FPS' being made with the engine. Look at 'The Last Remnant' the only game that Square has EVER used a western game engine for.
