Watched Avatar yesterday in 3D. Before seeing the movie I laughed a little at people who said the movie made them severely depressed. I figured how could a movie that looks great but the story probably sucks make anyone depressed.

When I walked out of the theater after seeing it I kind of felt like a jerk for thinking that before. When I left the theater I was in a really happy mood because the movie was much better than I thought it would be. Sure the story had major parts missing from it but at the end I really didn't care (which is odd because I usually hate movies that have a broken storyline).  After awhile though I was really bummed out. I dont think it was because I wished Pandora was real (alot of people are getting depressed about that fact) but something about the movie really struck home for me.

Just goes to show ya I guess. It's not right to judge something without first understanding it.

Ive seen avatar twice (cause that's just what I do) not in 3D and I'm still very impressed.  I'll agree that the story was just an exadgerated re-telling of the european conquest of north america, but I haven't seen enough native american movies for that to bother me.  I think the story developed itself well, the digital work was incredible, and that the concept of a paralized man taking over a new body (that walks) was awesome.  If you go into that movie with an open mind, its orgasmic.

Only problems I had with it are:
1) I would've liked to see him wrestle the dragon into submission.  He just... does, like it was easy.  Could've been an awesome scene
2) I'm cool with the whole "intertwining network of trees" thing, but when people's souls are traveling from body to body via that network, that's a little too much.

You should really see it in 3D. In the IMAX theaters if you can. At times while watching the movie I forgot I was in the movie theater and not in the movie. Thats how much this new real D 3D tech immerses you into the movie. I can't wait for other people to take advantage of real D 3D in other movies.

I saw it in IMAX 3D (If a movie is being presented in 3d, there's almost no reason to see it in any other format unless they just dont have the enhanced experience where you are) From a Graphical and Cinematic standpoint, the movei is Phenomenal. Other than that......meh.

Yeah, I've gotta admit James Cameron is amazing with all his films. Avatar even beat out Titanic! But yeah, I saw Avatar a few weeks ago with my boyfriend and his guy friends.. OH MY WORD... No words can describe it! One of my favorite movies ever now.

Uhm, also saw Sherlock Holmes.. Gotta say, it was good.. but Robert Downey Jr. wasn't as amazing as he could be in that.. In Ironman, he was.. AMAZING.. Sherlock Holmes.. not so much. Also, did anyone else notice that Watson was different?! Wasn't he supposed to be Holmes' lackey? Either way, I'd give it a 8/10.

This is hilarious, but I've been rediscovering my childhood by introducing my son to Alvin and the Chipmunks (the original animated series and movies). So we've been watching The Chipmunk Adventure movie this past week. I still love it, too, even though I'm not five years old anymore... XD

Defendor. Great film. I recommend it to anyone who wants something a bit quirky but really well put together.

Prince of Persia- I thought it was great, but my friends, guys who played the actual video game, thought it SUCKED..

Get Him to the Greek... When the world slips you a Jeffery, stroke the furry wall...
All I gotta say. Freaking hilarious movie.

A-Team.. Another great movie, though a little off from the tv show. Smiley

Grown Ups.

wow. Just....WOW! I've never laughed so hard at a movie theater in my life. And the best part was watching so many different type of comedians come together and show their greatness.

Get him to the greek.

This movie is full of classic quotes. And Diddy was actually funy. huh, who knew?

Recently saw 'Black Dynamite' and there's one thing I have to say: If bye the end of this film you do not have the biggest grin on your face (which will last you the rest of the week just thinking about it), then you are the most jive turkey there ever was!

My grandma and I sat down and watched The Princess Diaries this weekend. Not the greatest movie in the world, but it's cute (and it won't give my poor grandma a heart attack to watch it). I kinda wish they'd stayed true to the books when they did the movie, though. But it's hard to imagine Julie Andrews as an evil old grandmother with her eyeliner tattooed on. XD

Went to see The Switch a couple of weeks ago... not my first choice, but it was okay for what it was. At least it didn't suck as bad as I thought it was going to. XD
