~Possible spoiler alert~~Spoilers may accedentaly arise during discussion~~Proceed with Caution~

Oh my greatness.  Im sure the psych world is having a field day with this movie, but it was incredible.  I will not give away the ending, but I will say that the entire theatre sighed "wtf" together when the credits turned on.  It was glorious.  And the "reality checks" DiCaprio kept doing seemed like they were just as important for the viewer as they were for his character.  That is all I will say, discuss!

I was blown away by this film, but there were some inconsistencies. I have all of the original problems and solutions, but they are full of spoilers, so watch out.

Problems -

1. The free-fall should have made all the layers of the dream zero-gee.
2. You aren't able to kick yourself out of a dream -- it has to happen on the layer above you -- so it didn't make sense when Ellen Paige and the corporate kid jumped off the porch.
3. Killing yourself when under sedatives sends you to limbo. All the people in the ice level should have gone to limbo, since they blew themselves up for no reason.
4. The guy that was keeping watch in the hotel level should have woken up when the van went off the bridge.

Solutions -

1. Written off to deeper layers not being as strongly affected. It's not a perfect solution, but it lines up with the bullet wound not hurting as much.
2. They were actually in limbo, so suiciding sent them back to layer 3. Presumably when Mal and Cobb were in limbo, they skipped straight to it somehow, or it just wasn't shown when they killed themselves in the other layers.
3. The explosives were just a last-ditch effort to protect themselves from the attackers long enough to be kicked.
4. He knew it was coming and was trained not to react to it.

Another possibility is that the entire movie was inside of Cobb's mind, and he was imagining the whole thing in Limbo.

The spinning top at the end was an inception into your mind.

~spoiler~

Um, for the most part I agree.  But problems two and three kinda go together.  The explosives on the artic level were placed underneith the support beams of the base where the team was sleeping.  The explosives were the kick to get cobb, college girl, and fisher out of the fourth level of the dream (limbo).  The initial force of the explosion would have kicked them out of level 4, the elevator kicked them out of level 3, the van hitting the water for lvl two, and I guess the stuardist for level 1.  I don't think they were in the explosion long enough to die.  I realy don't know why they jumped off the porch.  Maybe because the dream was collapsing?

Double post, but I need to correct a few things.  The explosion was the kick for the girl and cobb, the defibulator acted as the kick for fisher.  Still don't know why they jumped off the porch, or why Fisher wasn't sent to limbo when he got shot.  I guess he didn't die?

No. They entered into the son's subconscious on the fourth level, which yes would have been limbo.

Limbo is just un-constructed dream space; it was not the "fourth level". It is the bottom level; like a coma.
