So I read there actually ARE people faster than the Flash. Waverider(DC), Gladiator(Marvel), and Silver Surfer(Marvel). I was wondering if there is any truth behind it all. Everything I've been reading states that they ARE faster than the fastest Flash.

Well i have not done the research and nor looked into any of these other guys but i will eliminate two of them right here and now. Gladiator and Silver Surfer. These are two characters from a separate universe so you can't really compare them at all. I mean the only one who could have some truth behind it would be Waverider because they belong to the same universe and could have been compared to the Flash at one point in time.
While the other two are merely speculation based on fan's who would argue one way or another. The only way to compare those two with the Flash would be to have some sort of cross over that would have compared.
At least that is my theory on it. There very well could have been a cross over but as of what i know from just being a nerd in general there hasn't been one that could answer this question.

it depends. technically no, but the general answer would be yes.
not really fair to say people like silver sulfer are faster than the flash because the flash is never running at full speed. they talk about it in some of the comics, and its even referenced to in the animated series involving him. theirs a certain speed limit the flash refuses to go pass for fear that he won't be able to slow down."I would live out my whole life in the time it takes a kid to tie his shoe". something about his atoms vibrating so fast he loses himself to the speed forest. anyhow, he's broke it a few times before and it was pretty crazy how fast he was going. and everytime he did it, it was obvious he wasn't trying his hardest. then somehow the justice league saves his ass before he fades out of existence.
so, yes the flash is the fastest man alive, bu,t no because his physical limitations won't allow him to reach such speeds. unlike alien extra terrestrials with the cheat codes to life who break the laws of physics.
